Would not repair 4 wheeler that was under warranty.

Honda and Honda of Greenville, Tn would not repair our 4 wheeler that was under warranty. Was taken in with rattle in bottom of motor. Retrieved ATV a few weeks later still with rattle in motor, but was told to drive it and see how it did. Well motor locked up and they told us we had put oil filter in backwards. We never messed with oil filter. Now they refuse to repair it. We retrieved ATV from dealer and checked it and no way to put oil filter in backwards unless you damage it. Well needless to say oil filter is fine and now we are stuck with blown motor. And Honda refuses to to talk to us about fixing it, and Greenville Honda has not been honest with us the whole time.

Did not honor extended warranty

took my honda motorcycle in for repair. they would not do repair because they said there was rust inside the drive shaft cover. if the cover is leaking then the cover is faulty and any damage done should be covered. the dealer and honda both accused the other of refusing the repairs. i paid $700 for the warranty and $175 to the dealer to tell me that they would not cover the repair. i want honda or the dealer to take responsibility for repair or refund the $875 that they took me for. and i thought honda was reputable, boy was i wrong.

put pressure on both sides- let the dealer know that you are going to report them to the State Attorney's General Office, and that they are guilty of false advertising

2004 Pilot: CD Player Radio not working

I am pissed. I took good care of the Pilot. It has only 24K miles in 4 years. The CD player and the radio starts to show problem and requires a $350 repair bill. Since it is low mileage, it means the audio system was not used that much. I never put CD that has sticker onto the CD player. How can the audio system malfunction with min. use? The system was under extreme care and normal usage. Of course, the warranty has expired and poor customer like me need to foot the repair cost... I have to rethink the reputation of Honda, may be it is over exaggerated.

I read a few posts and did not see anyone mention another aspect of the warranty that is a bit *** On the one hand we did not need it so that speaks to the quality of the product. Therefore we expected to get our $$ back.

Due to being focused on hospice care for a relative we did not contact Honda until January.

Honda told us we missed the 60 day window to get our $$$ back and is keeping it. So beware of the weasel wording with these extended warranties......I will never be a sucker again...

New 08 Civic Hybrid with Outdated NAV Database

I purchased an 08 silver civic hybrid in Cary, NC, with the $1700 NAV system (which I did not really want.) I wish the dealer would have told me that it comes with outdated maps. The map database is over 3 years old. It does not show MAJOR INTERSTATES, 540 going to 264 (completed 3 years ago). It does not show 795 in Goldsboro going from 264 to 70. It does not have the new bypass around Jacksonville shown either. I am very disappointed with my purchase. My $150 GPS that I bought in 2007 from Walmart has all these major interstates.

Honda Yamaha Lawrenceville GA

I called to buy a new Goldwing. Cash sale. spoke with salesman "Doc". I asked if there would be a problem accepting my business check. If there be would I would bring Cashiers check, but I needed to know before our Bank closed, (at Noon). I drove from Savannah to Atlanta to pick up a bike that was supposed to be serviced and ready to go. Charge against a Credit Card to do so. I get there and have to beg someone to help us. Come to find out bike washed but not serviced, it seems they want me to take delivery, buy it, before they would run the engine for me, check the lights, check the navigation system, or even sit on it. After I bought it any problem with it would have been a warranty issue, the way I see it. Anyway the reason I was told they would not service the bike was they had to verify the check first. Bank Closed. The Only thing good out of this is we have bought the Bike from HONDA OF RUSSELVILLE, AR and will pick it up on our way to Sturgis in two weeks. Saved 600 bucks and got a 15% discount on all parts ordered with it. Wasted an entire Saturday over this ***.

Bad control arm ruined tires and they didn't warranty

While they admit the control arm problem is covered under warranty, they didn't issue a recall even though they knew it was a problem. They have had several people have severe accidents because of the wheel falling off! I have only 20,000 miles on the car and the control arm problem ruined my tires (which cost $150 each) but they said they are only good for 20,000 miles - so I had to buy two new tires. By purchasing two better tires (60,000 miles warranty at another location) it invalidates other parts of the warranty. in other words, they always have a loophole in order to cheat the customer.

I am going through the same problem right now with my 07 civic with 21'000. I am refusing to pick up my vehicle untill the bad tires are replaced free of charge. I have caught Honda of America lying to me and I have now contacted my local attorney generals office of consumer affairs and I urge all others that are going through this to do the same

Poor Gas Consumption (29 MPG) of 2006 HONDA Civic EX

I am getting 29 mpg (no a/c, closed windows, only 2 adults with total weight of 280 ib, trunk empty, proper tire pressure, no aggressive driving/acceleration, no hills) When I spoke with Honda Motor Corporation representative about my concerns, he stated the following about the FACTS OF HONDA CIVIC gas consumption. It is a fact that the car would never get the mileages printed on the sticker that the car came with and it was misleading the public. This misleading is the fault of the U.S. Government, not Honda Motors. The actual gas consumption was 15-25% worse that what Honda presented during the sale of this vehicle. He claimed that even a 20-lb of suitcase would make a dramatic change on the Honda Civic’s gas consumption. He stated that this suitcase would be the culprit for obtaining worse than expected gas mileage consumption. I find this and other similar and ridiculous explanations of the horrible gas consumption of my 2006 Honda Civic part of the cover up of the public misleading and perjury by Honda Motors.

This is why they always advertise as ESTIMATED EPA MPG.

It could also depend on what grade and where you buy your gas from.

2007 honda civic clutch

My honda civic is one year old and the clutch is completely destroyed. They said its operator error. I know of nothing that I did wrong. Other people have similar complaints but honda will not own up to the problem. It has something to do with an admitted 3rd gear problem which they have not notified owners about but there is a service bulletin on this. Now I will be out a lot of money to fix. Terrible car! I should not have to pay and now I am afraid to drive the car because I thought I was doing just fine.

2007 Honda Civic Hybrid Lemon

Purchased new in Feb. of 2007. Had it towed or jump started several times in March. Honda service told me the car was underused and I needed to drive it on a freeway every week for 30 minutes at over 45 mph. I write to Honda America. They wrote back that some cars need more scrutiny than others and wouldn't take the car back. The car continued to need jump starts. Honda finally found some unconnected wiring. They also replaced all the batteries. The car get 22 mpg in the city and 28 on the highway. Sme green car!

I purchased a 2007 Honda Civic Hybrid on Oct 2006, I have less than 17000 miles since I travel for work and I'm only at home a couple times a month. For the last 6 monts or so I ahve had to take the car to the dealer several times for the IMA light coming on.

They replaced the regular bettery, computer board and today 10/16/09, they have finally ordered a new IMA battery due to arrive on Tuesday. My concern is that my warranty will expire in 10 days and what if the problems manifest themselves again. I belive the car is a lemon.

The dealer is saying I need to drive it more frequently, there was never a sign when I signed on the dotted line which said failure to dive or start this car on a daily basis will result in IMA malfunction. I am thinking about going to discusss my options with an attorney.

Honda in general can have pretty sorry service. I am looking for others who have had experiences with the Honda Civic Hybrid and the problem of the rear tires generating a lot of noise due to this.

This problem is caused by a defective stablizer in the rear which cuasies damage to the tire. Honda will repair the stablizer but not replace the tires so the noise continues.

I am tired of getting pushed around.

Anyone with this problem and wishes to join in a possible class action lawsuit against Honda please contact me. I have a meeting with an attorney concerning this next week

2005 Honda Accord Problems Ignored!

Our 2005 Honda Accord has several problems that the dealer won't fix and Honda America will not do anything about. 1) Fuel pump relay chatter when ignition key is turned. They say it's normal for all models except one. If they can get it right for one model, why not recall the rest and fix'em? I'm just waiting to get stuck somewhere miles from home because the relay cooked. 2) Braking from a slow roll, like at the end of your driveway, snaps your neck so hard it could cause whiplash. Several tries to get it fixed by the dealer which said it was normal. Ha! I drove another '05, same model, same everything, and it didn't do it. Finally they did something and it went away temporarily. Honda America stands by the dealer. 3) The A/C takes forever to cool off. This has been like that since we bought it new. Our '96 Accord with 260,000 miles cools way better. Honda America stands by the dealer, who says, you guessed it, "It's normal for this car." Well, I have news - I and my extended family have owned 67 Hondas since 1984. Currently we own 12 collectively. We have all agreed not to ever buy another Honda. They just don't get it. We'll try Toyota next.

Insurance and Extended warranty conning

Honda of Panama City, FL is a scammer! they'll tell you one thing on your contract and than add all kinds of warranties and insurance that you do not need and you would have to end up paying an extra 8000 for what you didnt want to add and then tell you that your bank wouldnt finance you and that even if they would it would be a HIGH interest rate, which my bank DID approve for. They say all these things just to get you to sign the contract and finance with them. THAN they'll tell you your interest rate would be this and then the next thing its higher then what they said at the beginning! window etching... that is suppose to be included in with your "agreed" price, but again they added an extra 700 to it! they basically "force" you to sign the contract and dont care who signs it! he "advised" me to sign my moms name(shes the co signer) and said "oh, its okie just sign it". Basically Honda of Panama City needs to shut down. Its not only me that say these things but SOOOO many people have the same complaint about this kind of situation. EVERYBODY that i talk to about honda ALWAYS have something negative about this honda dealership. NEVER NEVER buy from them.

Honda Fit cars are great

I have a 2007 Honda Fit and I love it! I get 40 mpg highway going 65 mph Best gas milage out there. Lots of leg room and I'm a tall guy Lots of storage room for all my dogs and their things. I am planning on driving up to New England from Florida this summer. I wonder what kind of milage I will get from such a long haul. I wish Honda would build a travel van with that kind of gas milage as I'd buy one to use for my long trips. Keep it up guys
