I have owned a 1993 Honda Accord. A 1997 Accord wagon . I presently own a 1998 Honda Accord

with 177,000 miles on the odometer. I would like to buy a 2013 Honda Accord or the station wagon.

However ,I will not buy a Honda unless you vastly improve a lot less noise in the interior of the car.

The Toyota Avalon has hardly any noise in the interior. Check it out !! I know it is a way of

Honda keeping the price down . Iam sure other Honda owners are sick and tired of the noise.

We would be willing to pay the price . Thank you. Iam looking forward to buying a 2013

Honda with reservations !!!

Location: Hampton, Virginia

2102 Accord.....Totally unacceptable amount of road noise. First, and last, Honda.

Usually buy Toyota's. Downloaded a free noise meter app for my iPhone and it was off the charts compared to my 11 year old Camry and several rental cars I have used for business. Why Honda, do you not put some sort of sound deadening material in the floors, doors, trunk, hood...etc.

There was also little to no tint in my windows and the sun comes thru and you really feel it. Has to go to Ziebart and spend 250..00 on window tinting. How the Accord made C&D top 10 all those years is beyond me.

We have been good Honda customers, with a Civic and three Accords over the last 30 years. Others have included Volvo, Chevy and Subaru, but Honda has always been my favorite for its quality.

It's time to buy a new one in 2015. But if the road noise doesn't improve, it won't be a Honda.

How can it be that a cheap Subaru is ten times more quiet?? Come on Honda, you're losing customers!

Hondas are notorious for road noise. I don't understand why they refuse to spend the few extra $ to provide better insulation, unless it is their ploy to make you give in and buy an Acura.

Just had my 2009 Accord in the body shop and drove a Camry loaner.

What a huge difference! This is my 3rd Accord, but probably my last.

Had my accord for a month I don't hear this road noise might be a fluke car.

I went back to the dealer today and complained about the road noise. I was give a exact car with Mitchelin tires to try.

Very little difference.

This is my first leased car and think it will be difficult to change to a different brand. Any thoughts will be helpful.

Just leased a 2012 Honda Accord with the 4 cyl. engine and leather seats.

The road noise is terrible. Hard to believe there can be so much road noise from a 2012 family sedan.

Will look into trading it for a much quieter car if possible. Would not recommend this car.

My 2010 Honda Accord is the noisiest and most uncomfortable car i have ever earned. The road noise is ridiculous.

My former car, a Ford Taurus was much quieter and more comfortable. Honda buyers beware.

then check out the new for taurus, this thing is QUIET. ford factories have really caught on and the thing is done right.

you see it was always american to have a quiet comfortable car, and feeling bumps in the road were a bad thing, and it still is to me. drive a honda accord on a 1000 mile roadtrip and then take a honda accord. Not alot of articles on this but the accord will beat you up on the trip, its a type of road fatique, but you wont have any with the ford taurus.

i wish more automotive writers would explain this to people. its really an untouched science.

i was a honda fan in though my twenties and early thirties, and they are great cars. great , great cars.

The road noice has become an issue in weather to purchase for me and some friends and a couple guys at work. we all have loved accords but we arent to young anymore and are sick of the road noise. You can just hear the road and when its snowing or raining hard you can hear all of it inside the fenders, i say add the extra cost for the sound dampening especially when its your bread and butter. but these short overseas folks just dont get that a better designed seat and less noise is better.

oh yea the seats are an issue, they can be designed so so much better. honda is lucky that this car sells like it does.

Toyota Avalon is hard to beat. Buy that one.

try to drive another honda accord with different brand tires if they have one--some tires will make a road noise because of the all season tread design--if that doesn't help then look for a quieter car--my g/f just bought tires for her car and they produce a little road noise--its not bad but not as quiet as the one she took off
